The Data Mangement Coordinator is responsible for working with the office of Planning, Research and Institutional Assessment (PRIA) to create and manage course, program and department performance metric reports in the School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD). The position works closely with the Assistant Dean of CEWD Operations and the Senior Research Analyst in PRIA to determine reporting metrics, structure and data sources as part of the overall CEWD and AACC strategic plans. Additional responsibilities include ad hoc report and dashboard creation or development. This position reports to the Assistant Dean, CEWD Operations.

Coordinates with PRIA staff to ensure accurate noncredit report and dashboard development and maintenance that complements credit reporting and is in line with AACC Learning Outcome Assessment standards. 

Assists with the ongoing assessment of noncredit courses and programs by conducting the daily operations associated with maintaining CEWD performance metric reports and dashboards (data visualizations)

Assists with developing and facilitating the annual course and program review process within CEWD

Serves on college-wide committees to further the goals of the institution.

Other duties as assigned by Assistant Dean and/or Dean.

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Minimum three years of related experience in developing and performing data analysis

Experience building queries as well as creating and merging reports from multiple systems. 

Ability to utilize college standard word processing, spreadsheet and database systems, such as Colleague, at an advanced to expert level.

Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive environment and ability to deal tactfully with all internal and external constituents.


Strong customer service and problem solving skills.

Experience administering programs in a higher education environment. 

Experience with data processing and/or visualization software such as SPSS and Tableau.

Experience gathering workforce and occupation market data from public and private sources, such as the US Bureau of Labor Statistics or Emsi Analyst. 

Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
