Graduation Evaluator
Records & Registration - HREC
Full-Time Staff

Reporting to the Assistant Registrar - Transfer Credit and Completion, the Graduation Evaluator is responsible for reviewing large volumes of graduation applications, certifying students for completion of graduation requirements and critically analyzing graduation applicants’ records for additional, appropriate earned awards. The Graduation Evaluator thoroughly, consistently and accurately evaluates student records against criteria for graduation.  The Graduation Evaluator will serve as a contact for inquiries concerning graduation; he or she will be required to communicate precisely and accurately with tact and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with students, faculty, staff, and the public in person or via phone or email.  The Graduation Evaluator may collaborate with other offices on completion initiatives and assist in evaluating incoming transfer of credit as necessary.  This job is sedentary and involves a large volume of work requiring attention to detail and a very high level of accuracy. 

Analyze and evaluate student records in order to certify students for completion of graduation requirements with utmost accuracy and precision. Interpret complex regulations or requirements and apply them towards the record evaluation process. Report degree completion discrepancies to students in a timely manner.

Serve as a primary point of contact with students, college staff, and the general public for graduation inquiries. Provide necessary communication to students and staff concerning graduation requirements, process, and procedures. Assist in commencement activities.

Assist with graduation related initiatives to increase student graduation rate.










Bachelor’s degree is required.

Minimum of three years experience with records analysis in a high volume, fast-paced office environment with minimal supervision and with utmost attention to accuracy, details, and deadlines required.

Must be able to demonstrate ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision and with attention to accuracy and details.

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required.  Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with students, faculty, staff and the public.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.


1 year or more of teamworking skills.

Five years of experience in a records and registration office at a post-secondary institution.

Experience using a student information system.

General knowledge of graduation evaluation/commencement practices, curriculum, and general education standards.

daily Monday - Friday and an occasional Saturday as arranged
