Part-Time Individual Education Program (IEP) Support Associate

The Individual Education Program (IEP) Support Associate will provide data management skills to analyze data and identify reports, and trends at the Maryland Department of Labor (MDOL);

• Review all Maryland Online IEP (MOIEP), for accuracy and adhere to timelines compliance indicators as outlined in COMA and IDEA;
• Adhere to policies and procedures related to monitoring MOIEP;
• Maintain strict confidentiality of students’ records in accordance with policies of the Maryland State Department of Education and DLLR Correctional  Education;
• Examine available information systems daily to inform the Special Education Coordinator of progress monitoring outcomes;
• Monitor all information as required by Maryland State Department of Education for special education compliance indicators;
• Follow up with special education teachers to ensure that MOIEP meet state and federal guidelines;
• Provide guidance that supports special education teachers’ efforts to correct and maintain compliant IEP;
• Interpret available information systems for special education teachers as needed;
• Ensures that IEP Team meetings consist of adequate team members as outlined in COMAR and IDEA;
• Examine available information systems to inform the Special Education Coordinator of outcomes from compliance monitoring regarding provisions of IEP services and documentation;
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Special Education Coordinator.

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred;
• Minimum two years’ experience working with IEP;
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills;
• Passing the DPSCS background check is a requirement;
• Position is not eligible for remote work/telework.

Monday-Thursday, Day Hours
$24.00/hr
