Noncredit Adjunct Faculty-Landscaping Apprenticeship Instructor

The Landscape Apprenticeship instructor provides instruction to full-time employed landscape students.

• Course instruction in landscaping and grounds-keeping maintenance;
• Provide instruction and retention strategies to students in Landscaping Cohort program;
• Deliver class curriculum that fosters mastery of technology; basic landscaping skills for adult learners.
• Course topics include: Landscape Plans Reading and Calculations, Turf Installation
   and Maintenance/Pest Management, and Landscape Maintenance and Design Implementation;
In addition to teaching, instructors are responsible for: 
• Assigning grades
• Recording attendance
• Attending mandatory meetings
• Completing all forms and documentation related to the course and all documentation required by the College

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred;
Certification and/or license in Turf Installation and Maintenance, Pest Management, Landscaping Maintenance and Design Implementation;
Teaching experience with diverse populations;
Computer literate;
Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with students, faculty, staff, business/industry and the public;
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
