Part-Time Speech Pathologist

Position duties will include:

1. Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures and productivity standards;
2. The Speech Pathologist will be required to administer speech and language tests and interpret the assessment results; 
3. Conduct speech and language sessions, provide consultation sessions and participate in interdisciplinary IEP;
4. Evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implantation;
5. Develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term and long-term goals;
6. Instruct students and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry-over of therapeutic remediation and 
goals in dally activities.

1. Minimum two to three years experience' as a Speech Pathologist with knowledge of IDEA 2004;
2. Experience with incarcerated special needs students and ability to conduct speech sessions that are aligned with        students' IEP;
3. Master's degree in Speech Pathology, or related field from an accredited college or university required; Doctorate, preferred;
4. Certified in the state of Maryland as a Speech Pathologist or eligible to receive certification; Provide department with a copy of a valid certification license and evidence of malpractice insurance and maintain licensure and insurance for the duration of work;
5. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
6. Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with students, faculty, staff, business/industry and the public;
7. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
